A call for action: all youth must take responsibility and contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
For YAAC, taking action to preserve our planet is essential. Humanity’s future is threatened by climate change and environmental degradation — but as young people, we have the power to drive lasting change.
Why collective action
Individual gestures matter, and they are not enough on their own. What changes outcomes at scale is organised, sustained, collective effort: cooperatives that adopt agroecological practices together, communities that hold institutions accountable, networks that share what works.
Coming together can inspire action far beyond the group that starts it.
Where to begin
- Learn the local picture. Climate impact is specific. Know which soils, which water sources and which crops are at risk where you live.
- Join something. An existing group will get you further faster than starting alone.
- Document and share. Practice that stays undocumented cannot be scaled or defended.
The future is not something we wait for. It is something we build, starting now.
